Nice place and very convenient. Large camp sites with water and clean restrooms/showers. Boat ramps and marina were not crowded and in good repair. The only knock on the place was the running water was yellow in color. It smelled and tasted fine, so I'm sure it's fine. Just not very appealing.
Great place for camping a shore fishing. Campsites are spacious and most have partial shade. Even if you don't have a spot ON the water, there are plenty of access points and a trail that leads you around the shore to little fishing spots. Minus one star because the potable water in the campground was brown (looked like it came straight from the lake). We were assured it was safe to drink, just had high iron content but I would still prefer to bring my own drinking water next time.
Recommended.
Wonderful park. It's all here. Boating, fishing, camping, full hook up RV park ,day use areas. Clean well kept facilities.
The other gripe I have is there are barely any trees so when it's hot then you might be the afternoon smore.
Came here mid week July for camping. It is pretty decent. Not super pretty or anything. Dry grass is everywhere throughout the whole park. The facilities are actually really clean and I was really impressed. That or I was super lucky no one near us had explosive diarrhea. The campground is almost quiet, the cars by the highway kind of kills the atmosphere.
Staff are contractors so the staff changes from season to season. Some go out of there way other management teams not so much.
It's not my favorite campground but if you want to get a campground last minute or don't feel like driving too far, it is okay. Just don't expect anything spectacular!
There are swimming spots which is okay. A lot of people were swimming but the water was kinda smelly and dirty in my opinion but it is a river so that's kind of expected.
Great for camping, large RVs can get in and out easily, spots are pretty level, full hook ups available, large campground right on the delta, big group campsite available, showers are coin operated, camp host on duty, not a whole lot of trees so summertime not a lot of shade. Great place also for day use.
